Andrew Browne
Andrew is a Chartered Accountant and served articles with KPMG and after completing his articles he joined an Inter Dealer Broker as Financial Director and a shareholder. They offered services in the following products: Foreign Exchange, Bonds, Safex products and Interest Rate Derivatives. In 1998 they sold the business to a listed company, where Andrew served on their board for a number of years.
He later set up Magwitch Securities (Pty) Ltd who are a registered Financial Services Provider FSP 26289. Andrew heads up the Investment Committee for Magwitch’s offshore solutions. To relax he enjoys squash at Jeppe and takes part in Masters League, he is involved as Treasurer of his sports club and has a passion for investments.
David Case
Matthew Esterhuizen
Matthew joined the Magwitch offshore division in 2016, bringing experience from his research role in the offshore financial services industry. He holds a B Comm Investment Management from Stellenbosch University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
Matthew’s main focus is researching offshore investments and has a passion for passive investments. Matthew is registered with the Financial Services Board.
Outside of work, Matthew is an avid offshore angler and mountain biking enthusiast. Whether he is navigating the open waters for a challenging catch or exploring rugged mountain trails, he find both pursuits sharpens his problem-solving skills, enhances his resilience, and gives him a chance to reconnect with nature. He states that, “These hobbies bring a balance to my life.”
Megan Aylward
Megan joined the Magwitch offshore division in 2022. She has a BcomHons Investment Management from the University of Pretoria and is currently a CFA level III candidate. She hopes to use experience at an offshore advisory to better assist our client base.
Megan has always had a passion for finance and research. She is an avid hiker and will be completing the Fish River Canyon trail in 2024. Megan is registered with the FSCA.
Shelley-Anne Drysdale
Having earned a Bcom Honours in Business Management from the University of South Africa, Shelley is currently pursuing her Masters in Business Management at the University of Stellenbosch. With a background in finance, she gained valuable experience as an article clerk at an auditing firm and is now working in administration for Magwitch’s offshore department. Shelley is deeply passionate about the field of business and aspires to acquire extensive knowledge to become a successful finance professional.
Apart from her academic and professional pursuits, Shelley is an enthusiastic tennis player. She values the sport not only for its physical benefits but also for the mental and strategic challenges it presents.
